We believe that all people, regardless of age, have a God-given right to live their lives to their full potential and to be treated with dignity and respect. What are PCA services?

PCA Services is a type of Home Care Service that helps people in Minnesota with their nonmedical health-related needs. The goal of PCA Services, as with other Home Care Services, is to help people live independently in their own homes and in the community. PCA Services are available to the elderly and individuals of all ages with special health care needs.

  • Activities of daily living, including eating, toileting, grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring, mobility, and positioning.
  • Instrumental activities of daily living, including meal planning and preparation, managing financing, shopping for essential items, performing essential household chores, communicating by telephone and other media, and getting around and participating in the community.
  • Health-related functions such as range of motion exercises, seizure intervention, or ventilator suctioning; and
  • Redirections and intervention for behavior including observation and monitoring.

Can friends or family be my PCA?

Having someone you already know and trust as your caregiver is very important for some people. At Advantage PCA & Senior Care, we know that most long-term care is provided by family caregivers and we are happy to hire your friends or family members to be your PCA. Please visit our employee's page to see why Advantage PCA & Senior Care is a great place to work.
